THE HOME OF OCEAN DRIVE LIONS CLUB

For over 50 years the North Myrtle Beach LIONS Club (privously the Ocean Drive Beach Lions Club) has been serving the Grand Strand as one of the oldest service organization in the area. Our members are dedicated and committed to meeting the needs of our local communities as well as serving at the State, National, and International levels.

Our primary goal is to provide support and assistance to those in our community who require vision corrective procedures or glasses. We are involved in several community programs that help protect and promote healthy vision and eyesight. These programs include but are not limited to, Mobile Eye Screening, Leader Dogs for the Blind, Collection of Used Eye Glasses, Eye Glasses for the Needy, and Hearing Aides for the Needy.

Our efforts support the South Carolina Lions Charitable Services and the Medical University of South Carolina's Storm Eye Institute, Charleston, S.C. Through our Organizational effort we have been described by Ms. Helen Keller as being the "knights of the blind in the crusade against darkness". Our motto is "We Serve" and our members reflect the dedication and compassion that makes the North Myrtle Beach Lions Club one of the premier service organization in our community.
